Firdous Jamal is the Pride of Pakistan, an academy in his own, serving Pakistan for more than 35 years in promoting Art and Culture through his acting all over the world in the mediums of Theater, Radio, Television and Film.  In his commanding career he is the only actor to earn himself nomination as best actor for 8 times and winner of 4 accolades as best actor for Pakistan Television Corporation. In 2001, he was recognized as “Voice of Millennium” from Pakistan broad Casting Corporation.

Firdous Jamal skulked through his scintillating career from School/College as the best debater and wet his feet in radio for the first time in 1972.  When Firdous Jamal gripped his teeth tight in radio Pakistan he was offered to perform in a Hindku TV Drama from Rawalpindi/Islamabad TV Studios in 1974 for the first time.

The Trail to Success had “leaps and bounds” from 1974 to 1979, in that era he assisted himself to become a pioneer in acting through studying Goethe, Dante, Shakespear, Dr. Muhammad Allama Iqbal, William WordsWorth, Ghallib and Jalaludin Romi. His work experience and readings earned him his big break through in a T.V serial “Waris” in 1979-80.

In 1980 the president of Pakistan, Gen Zia-ul-Haq wrote a note as appreciation letter on a Drama Berge-Arzu, Written by Ashfaq Ahmed and Produced by PTV Lahore.  The star kept shining high and bright and was awarded Best Actor in 1984-85 by Pakistan Television Corporation for the first time.

The Presidential Award from Governament of Pakistan, “Pride of Performance”-highest ranked award for services in Art and Culture (Pakistan) was announced in 1986.

Firdous Jamal is Representing Pakistan all over the world he has grown in himself the characteristics of Philosopher, scholar of History, Student of different Religions and literature and appreciator of Meta Physics that truly reflects on his acting. Firdous Jamal kept on reading and appreciating famous poets and writers for last 35 years.

Currently he has been living in Lahore with his wife and four children, two sons and two daughters, happily. He has put up an amazing balance with his family and work that is hard to achieve in showbiz. He is indulged with different T.V channels of Pakistan in the services of Acting, Producing and Direction. Firdous jamal is also General Secretary of Cultural Wing Pakistani Awami Tehrek.
